Royce is introducing access to leverage up to 1:1000 for eligible clients onboarded with Royce Global Markets Limited.
Higher leverage can reduce the margin required to open a position, providing experienced traders with greater flexibility in managing their available capital and market exposure.
However, leverage does not reduce trading risk. Profits and losses are calculated using the position’s full notional value—not only the margin committed to it. A relatively small market movement can therefore result in a substantial gain or loss compared with the margin used.
The maximum leverage of 1:1000 is not automatic, fixed or guaranteed.
Royce applies a dynamic leverage structure under which the available leverage may change according to:
Total open trading volume
Aggregate account exposure
Financial instrument and asset class
Account approval and client classification
Market liquidity and volatility
Client jurisdiction and contracting entity
Applicable operational and risk-management limits
As a client’s total open exposure increases, the available leverage may be progressively reduced. This provides greater flexibility at lower exposure levels while maintaining proportionate risk controls for larger positions.
Royce may also adjust leverage or margin requirements in response to market volatility, concentration, liquidity conditions or regulatory requirements.
No. Higher leverage requires disciplined position sizing, careful margin monitoring and a clear understanding of how rapidly losses can develop.
Clients should select trading volumes based on their experience, financial capacity and ability to withstand market losses—not simply according to the maximum leverage available.
Eligible clients can contact the Royce team to confirm the leverage applicable to their account and selected instruments.
