Do what you are good at!

By Shadi Swais

Starting a new business can be a daunting task, but for entrepreneurs who are passionate about their ideas, it can be an exciting and rewarding journey. However, the key to success lies in focusing on what you are good at, not just what you love.

Passion can be fleeting and can lead to misguided decision-making. Instead, entrepreneurs should take a step back and assess their skills, knowledge, and experience. What are they good at? What unique talents do they possess? By focusing on their strengths, they can create a sustainable and successful business that leverages their abilities.

While it's essential to consider market research, funding, management, online presence, and differentiation, none of these matter if the business owner isn't utilizing their unique talents and abilities. Doing what you're good at will keep you engaged and motivated, which is crucial for the long-term success of the business.

Intrapreneurs, or those who innovate within an existing company, can also benefit from focusing on their strengths. By identifying areas where they excel and developing new ideas and solutions that leverage those strengths, they can make a significant impact within their organization.

Entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship are all about taking risks, but by focusing on what you're good at, you can increase your chances of success. Whether you're starting a new business or innovating within an existing organization, remember to assess your strengths and leverage them to create something truly unique and valuable.
